Things seemed to be going Westerville Central's way after the Warhawks pushed their lead up to 13 points near the end of the third period against visiting Dublin Scioto Tuesday, Dec. 23.

But Irish guard Bradley McDougald's three-point buzzer-beater to make it 37-27 proved to be the beginning of a big Scioto comeback. The Irish (5-1) turned up the heat and proceeded to pour in 21 unanswered points in the fourth quarter before the Warhawks got another basket, and won the Ohio Capital Conference Cardinal Division game 52-43.

McDougald led all scorers with 20 points, while teammate Rainer Duzan added 13 for Scioto, which hit 18 of 24 foul shots.

Jerrell Fernandez led Central (2-3) with 11 points and Max VanMeter netted nine.
