SCIOTO MOVES TO 2-0!!

Scioto took to the road for the first time this season and won a hard fought 66-49 game over Worthington Kilbourne. The first quarter was close throughout, with Scioto closing the quarter with 4 quick points to take a 15-10 lead. Ben Ashwill led the charge in the first quarter with 8 points. Scioto extended the lead to 35-23 at halftime, with Bradley McDougald scoring 7 points in the quarter, and Blair Gorniak adding 6.

The battle continued in the 2d half with Scioto leading 51-40 after 3 quarters, before finally pulling away in the 4th for the final margin of 66-49. One of the stories of the game was Scioto's pressure defense throughout the game. The defense caused numerous turnovers that lead to a number of layups.

Scioto was led in scoring by Bradley McDougald with 27 and Ben Ashwill with 19. Blair Gorniak chipped in with 8, David McKinley added 7, Kyle Duncan 4 and Marco St John 1. Deja Olatoye contributed some nice feeds that led to layups.

The Irish's next game is Dec 14th against Pataskala Watkins Memorial.
