SCIOTO MOVES TO 13-0

Dublin Scioto remained unbeatan with a 68-48 road victory at Franklin Heights. Bradley McDougald scored 7 first quarter points as Scioto moved out to a 17-6 1st quarter lead. The Irish pushed the lead out to 34-16 at haltime as 2d quarter scoring was led by Blair Gorniak with 6 and Ben Ashwill with 5.

The Irish struggled in the 3d quarter as they were outscored 20-16, as Franklin Hts closed the gap to 50-36 after 3 quarters. Marco St John and Bradley McDougald each scored 5 points in the quarter. After Franklin Hts scored the first basket of the 4th quarter, cutting the lead to 12, the Irish went on a 10-0 run to put the game away. Ben Ashwill scored six 4th quarter points to lead the Irish.

Once again, the scoring was balanced as Bradley McDougald and Ben Ashwill each scored 16. Blair Gorniak added 15, Marco St John 14, David McKinley 3 and Rainer Duzan and Jamare Mills 2 each.

The Irish are back in action on Saturday, January 19th (7:30 game time, JV at 6:00) at home agains Parkersburg South out of West Virginia. Parkersburg South comes into the game with a record of 6-4.
