SCIOTO MOVES TO 16-0
Dublin Scioto defeated Watkins Memorial by the score of 52-15 to move to 16-0 overall and 7-0 in the conference.
In a game that Watkins Memorial stalled the entire first half and took only 3 shots before halftime, including one as the half
ended, the Scioto pressure was too much as they jumped out to leads of 10-2 and 27-4 at the end of the 1st quarter and halftime,
respectively. The Irish offense was created off of full court pressure resulting in multiple 2d quarter turnovers and buckets.
Marco St John led the way in the first half with 13 points, followed by Ben Ashwill with 7.
The stall was off in the 2d half, although the pace of the game was still quite slow, and the Irish continued to extend their lead to 40-8
after 3 quarter, before finishing with the 52-15 victory. Blair Gorniak led the 2d half scoring with 7 points.
For the night Marco St John finished with 13 while Blair Gorniak added 10. In a game where 14 different players played, other scorers
were Ben Ashwill with 8, Bradley McDougald, DJ Olatoye and Jamare Mills with 4 each, David McKinley and Dylan Coscia with 3 each, Rainer
Duzan with 2 and Destin Thomas with 1.
The Irish are back in action on Friday Feb 1st at Olentangy Liberty.
