SCIOTO MOVES INTO FIRST PLACE WITH WIN OVER OLENTANGY LIBERTY!!!

Scioto jumped out to a 23-8 lead at the end of the 1st quarter, then went on to defeat Olentangy Liberty 70-42. The win upped the Irish record to 3-0 in the conference and moved them in to first place. The Irish overall record is now 5-0.

Ben Ashwill led the charge in the 1st quarter with 11 points, including 2 three-pointers. Kyle Duncan added 7. Liberty battled tough in the 2d quarter closing the gap to a 36-23 halftime count. Bradley McDougald scored 7 second quarter points to lead the charge. Scioto put the game away early in the 3d quarter. A strong overall 3d quarter performance extended their lead to a 54-29 count after 3. Bradley McDougald contributed 9 points in the quarter, including dunk #2 for the season, and Blair Gorniak added 7.

Bradley McDougald finished with 21 points to lead the Irish scoring, followed by Ben Ashwill with 18, including three 3-pointers. Blair Gorniak added 16 points and 9 boards. Kyle Duncan added 7, Marco St John 4, and Rainer Duzan and Eric Stamets 2 each to round out the scoring.
