JV LOSE ANOTHER TOUGH ONE TO WESTLAND IN OVERTIME

For the 3d time in 4 games, the Irish JV game went into overtime, and unfortunately for the 2d straight game they came out on the wrong end by a final score of 41-34. The Irish jumped out to a 6-0 lead before clinging to an 8-7 lead after the 1st quarter. Eric Stamets contributed 6 points in the quarter. The Irish maintained a halftime lead of 21-19 by outscoring Westland 13-12 in the 2d. Max Brundige contributed 4 points in the 2d quarter.

The Irish led after the 3d quarter 28-27 before Westland tied it by the end of the 4th and sent the game into overtime. Once again the Irish struggled in overtime being outscored 7-0 for the final 41-34 count. The Irish were led in scoring by Eric Stamets with 10 points. Other scorers were Rahim Wasim with 6, Destin Thomas, Jacob McPheters, Max Brundige and Jamare Mills with 4 each, and JR Bernans with 2.
