SCIOTO JV FALLS TO WATKINS MEMORIAL IN OVERTIME

The Scioto JV Team lost a closely contested game in overtime to Watkins Memorial by the score of 45-38. The Irish found themselves trailing most of the night be counts of 17-14 at halftime, 27-23 after the 3d quarter, and by a 29-24 count with just over 4 minutes to play. The Irish rallied in the last 4 minutes to tie the game at 33-33 at the end of regulation. The comeback was led by great defense including 2 steals each by Jacob McPerson and Eric Stamets. Jacob aslo made 4 out of 4 pressure foul shots down the stretch, and Eric added 4 points from the field.

The overtime period did not go the Irish's way, as Watkins got a layup off of the tip to take the lead for good. Watkins was deadly from 3 point land during overtime connecting on three 3-pointers.

Eric Stamets led the Irish with 20 points and a number of steals. Jacob McPheters added 6 points, JR Bernans 5, Rahim Wasim 4, Destin Thomas 2 and Dom Rosso 1.
