IRISH JV EXTEND WINNING STREAK TO 6!!!
The Irish JV won for the 6th consecutive game, avenging an early season overtime loss, by defeating Watkins Memorial by the score
56-44. The Irish JV is now 8-8 on the season, including 5-2 in the conference.
The Irish found themselves training 14-10 after the 1st quarter, before going on a 10-0 run to take a 20-14 lead. The Irish led at halftime
26-22. Eric Stamets led the way in the first half with 11 points, while Raneal Ewing added 8.
The 3d quarter was a draw and ended with the Irish maintaining a 4 point lead at 36-32. The 4th quarter belonged to the Irish and was sealed when
Destin Thomas buried a 3 pointer to give the Irish an 8 point lead at 49-41. Eric Stamets and Jamare Mills each scored 9 second half points to pace
the Irish.
For the night Eric Stamets finished with 20 points and Jamare Mills added 12. Raneal Ewing contributed 8 points, while other scorers where Jacob
McPheters and JR Bernans with 4 each, Rahim Wasim with 2 and Mitchell Flowers with 1.
The Irish are back in action on Friday Feb 1st at Olentangy Liberty.
