JVS DROP CLOSE ONE TO YELLOW JACKETS

In a game that was close from start to finish, the Irish JV squad lost 43-41 to Mt. Vernon on Friday.

Scioto led by two at the half and by one at the end of the third quarter, but was outscored 12-9 for the final margin.

Wing J.R. Bernans scored in every quarter and led the Irish with 13 points. Two other Irish players scored in double figures as Raneal Ewing had 12 and Max Brundige had 10 points. Also scoring for the Irish was: Jacob McPheters (3), Gabe McGlone (2) and Tervon Moore (1).

The JV team falls to 3-4 overall and is 2-2 in the OCC Cardinal.
