JVS USE STRONG SECOND HALF TO BEAT LIBERTY 43-31
Although trailing by 1 point at the half, the Irish JV team outscored Liberty 27-14 in the second half and earned a 43-31
victory.
The Irish JVs evened their season record at 4-4 with the victory and are 3-2 in OCC Cardinal Division games.
Both teams had double digit turnovers, but the Irish were able to shoot almost 60 percent from the field. They had a
21-16 rebounding edge over the visitors.
Seven different players scored for the Irish, led by Raneal Ewing with 16. Others in the scoring column were: Gabe
McGlone (7), Jacob McPheters (7), Max Brundige (6), J.R. Bernans (3), Terrill Matthews (2) and Mitchell Flowers (2).
Brundige had game high 7 rebounds. Ewing led the way with 3 assists, followed by McPheters with 2. Tervon Moore paced
the Irish with 3 steals.
The leading scorer for Liberty was Jimmy Waterwash with 12. Nick Archer had 10 points.
