IRISH SET TO TAKE ON UNDEFEATED WARRIORS

In a battle of teams unbeaten thus far in league play, the Irish are scheduled to visit Westerville North on Friday night in an OCC Cardinal Division game.

Scioto and Westerville North are the only teams with an unblemished record after two league games. Jerome, Liberty, Olentangy and Westerville South are all 1-1, while Marysville and Westerville Central are 0-2.

The Warriors earned an 85-77 win over crosstown rival Westerville Central last Friday night to move their overall record to 3-0. They were led in scoring by 5-10 junior guard Bradley Nettles with 25 points.

Opponents are concentrating on 6-6 junior forward Ralph Hill Jr., a Division I basketball prospect who likes to play near and away from the basket. Irish fans can expect 6-4 junior guard Kenny DeBoer to handle the ball most frequently. They return 8 of the top nine scorers from last year’s team.

The freshman game is scheduled to tip-off at 4:45 p.m.
