VARSITY - SCIOTO HOLDS ON IN FOURTH QUARTER FOR VICTORY OVER HILLIARD BRADLEY

Dublin Scioto led most of the night in a close battle at Hilliard Bradley in pulling out a 42-38 victory. The Irish led after each quarter, 7-6 after one, 17-11 at the half, and 25-22 after three. Hilliard Bradley took a couple of leads in the fourth quarter, but the Irish answered each time before finishing with the 42-38 decision.

Antonio Bisutti was leading scorer with 9 points, all in the 4th quarter, including some key baskets and 5 out of 6 free throws down the stretch. Hector Cintron and Joshua Ashwill added 7 each. Ashwill finally sealed the victory hitting both ends of a one and one with 5 seconds to go to put the Irish up 4. Max Brundige added 6 in playing a strong game under the basket, getting a number of key rebounds. Justin Criag added 5, Jacob McPheters 3, Ryan Gibson and Ryan Duncan 2 each, and Travis Yates 1 to round out the scoring.


JV AND FRESHMEN - JV LOSE, FROSH WIN OVER HILLIARD BRADLEYY

The Dublin Scioto JV fell to Hilliard Bradley by the score of 59-28. After a close first quarter that ended with the Irish trailing 12-8, the Irish were outscored 21-8 in the 2d quarter and trailed 33-16 at half.

Tyler Flaherty was leading scorer with 8 points, followed by Tim Shadoan with 6, Patrick Rooney with 4, Grant Anderson and Matt Strausbaugh with 3 each, and Jalen Johnson and Braxton Wallace with 2 each.

The Freshmen led the entire game in winning 40-31 over Hilliard Bradley. The Irish build up a 34-17 lead early in the 4th quarter before Hilliard Bradley made a mini run to make the final score sound closer than the game really was.

Braxton Wallace led the scoring with 10 points, and had a number of nice assists. Chase Sult and Tim Shadoan added 9 each. Other scorers were Grant Anderson with 5, Aaron Strausbaugh, Evan Demars and Brayden Pfeiffer with 2 each, and Terrance Cutchember with 1.
