WARRIORS VISIT IRISH ON FRIDAY
Scioto is in the midst of its second three game run of games against teams from Westerville this week.
The Irish will entertain Westerville North on Friday. The Warriors enter the game at 7-4 overall and 5-4 in OCC Cardinal
Division play.
On Tuesday, they had a three game league winning streak snapped in a 64-57 loss to Westerville Central. They trailed 28-27
at the half, but were outscored 16-9 in the third quarter. Ralph Hill Jr. led all scorers with 32 points.
Hill, a 6-6 junior forward, is being heavily recruited by Akron, Butler and Dayton. Other key players in the Warriors’
rotation include Kenny DeBoer, Bradley Nettles and Jacob Thuman. They own a 49-46 non-league road victory against
defending Division I state champion Newark.
Westerville North was 3-0 when these teams met in December. The Irish played an outstanding defensive game, holding the
Warriors to 6, 5 and 5 points in the first three quarters on the way to a 44-16 lead.
The final score was 52-29.
It is a tripleheader day for the Irish and the freshman game will begin at 4:30 p.m. The JV game will follow at around
6 p.m. and the varsity will tip at approximately 7:30 p.m.
