In a game that was close throughout, Liberty sealed the victory in the final minutes by proving deadly from the foul line, posting a 52-45 victory over the Irish.
The Irish trailed 13-11 after the first quarter. Raneal Ewing had 6 first quarter points and Antonio Bisutti added 4. The Irish played solid defense in the 2nd quarter, holding Liberty to 6 points and led 22-19 at the half. Four different players scored in the quarter led by Gabe McGlone with 4, Ewing with 3, and Ryan Duncan and Bisutti with 2 each.
The tables were turned in the 3rd quarter, as the Irish were held to just 6 points while Liberty put up 12. Liberty led after 3 quarters 31-28. Duncan added 4 points in the quarter while Ewing scored 2 more.
The game remained close for most of the 4th quarter until the Irish were forced to foul and deadly free throw shooting by Liberty allowed them to finish with the 7 point win. Ewing added 9 for the quarter, while Bisutti added 3 and Joshua Ashwill 2.
For the night Ewing led the scoring with 20 points, Duncan had 10, Bisutti 9, McGlone 4 and Ashwill 2.
The Irish are now 3-5 on the year and 1-4 in the conference.

Olentangy Liberty remained undefeated in beating Scioto by the score of 60-41.
The Irish trailed 20-15 after one quarter, as Ryan Gibson scored 6 points, Chase Sult 5 and Braxton Wallace 4.
The Irish remained within striking distance at halftime trailing 34-23. Dominic Madison contributed 4 2nd quarter points, while Aaron Strausbaugh and Wallace added 2 each.
Liberty pulled away in the 3rd quarter outscoring the Irish 19-3 to take 53-26 lead into the final period. Strausbaugh added 2 more points in the quarter after a steal and layup.
The Irish heated up in the 4th quarter, outscoring Liberty 15-7. Gibson added 8 more in the quarter, while Madison added 4 and Darius McDonald added 2.
For the night Gibson contributed 14 points, Madison 9, Wallace 7, Sult 5, Strausbaugh 4 and McDonald 2.
Olentangy Liberty Frosh also remained undefeated in beating Scioto by the score of 50-40.
The Irish came out strong and led 13-10 after the first quarter. Jack Flood scored 5 first quarter points, while Evin Ekis had 4 and Zac Brown and Darius McDonald 2 each.
The second quarter belonged to Liberty as they oustcored the Irish 14-4 to take a 24-17 lead at the half. Spencer Talentino and Flood added 2 points each in the quarter.
Liberty won the third quarter also and led 41-27 after three. Brown had 4 in the quarter, while Ekis, Flood and Andrew McKinley contributed 2 each.
The Irish outscored Liberty 13-9 in the fourth quarter, led by two three pointers from Andrew McKinley, 5 more points by Darius McDonald and 2 more for Brown.
For the night a balanced scoring attack was led by Flood with 9, Brown and McKinley with 8 each, McDonald with 7, Ekis with 6 and Talentino with 2.
