IRISH JVS WIN 2D IN A ROW WITH COMEBACK WIN

The Junior Varsity fell behind 17-8 after the first quarter, then saw the deficit increase to 21-8, before going on a 32-14 run the rest of the game to come out with a 40-35 victory over New Albany.

The Irish scored the final 7 points of the 1st half to close to a 21-15 halftime deficit. First half scoring was led by Eric Stamets with 7, Jamare Mills with 4, and Rahim Wasim and Jacob McPheters with 2 each.

The Irish won the 3d quarter 11-2 to enter the final period with a 26-23 lead. Jamare Mills had 6 points in the quarter, while Eric Stamets contributed 5. The Irish increased the lead to 40-32 before finishing with the 40-35 victory. Fourth quarter scoring was led by Eric Stamets with 6 and Jacob McPheters with 4. Max Brundige and Jamare Mills each added 2 points in the quarter.

For the night Eric Stamets led the scoring with 18 points including two 3-pointers. Jamare Mills added 12, Jacob McPheters 6, Rahim Wasim and Max Brundige 2 each.
