IRISH JVS LOSE CLOSE ONE TO COFFMAN
Despite falling 48-38 to Dublin Coffman, the Scioto JVs put forth a good effort in a very entertaining game. The Irish fell behind 17-9 after the 1st
quarter, but battled back and won the 2d quarter 17-10 to find themselves trailing 27-26 at the half. Scoring in the half was balanced for the Irish with
Jamare Mills leading the way with 8 frist half points. Others hitting the scoring column in the first half include Destin Thomas with 5, Max Brundige and
JR Bernans with 4 each, Eric Stamets with 3 and Jacob McPheters and Raneal Ewing 1 each.
The 3d quarter went back and forth with multiple lead changes, and ended with the Rocks ahead 35-34. The game remained close until the Rocks finally pulled
away halway through the 4th quarter.
Jamare Mills led the Irish scoring with 8 points, followed by Destin Thomas with 7, and Max Brundige and JR Bernans with 6 each. Other scorers were Eric Stamets
with 5, and Jacob McPheters and Raneal Ewing with 3 each.
