IRISH IMPRESSIVE IN OPENING NIGHT VICTORY

VARSITY

Scioto was impressive on opening night defeating Worthington Kilbourne by the score of 70-37. After falling behind 3-2, Scioto went on a 26-0 run as the game was never in doubt.

Fourteen Irish players scored, let by double digit scorers Bradley McDougald (13), David McKinley (12) and Tyler Harrell (10).

JUNIOR VARSITY

The Junior Varsity put forth a solid effort and defeated Worthington Kilbourne by the score of 48-32. The Irish trailed after the first quarter 4-3, and the game remained close for 3 quarters as the Irish led 29-21 going into the 4th.

The Irish won the 4th quarter 19-11 to pull away. Raneal Ewing led the scoring with 19 points, followed by Jacob McPhetes with 10. Others scoring included JR Bernans and Max Brundige with 6 each, Tervon Moore with 3, and Dom Rosso and Mitch Flowers with 2 each.

FRESHMEN

The Freshmen team hung on to win a close opening game by the score of 48-43. Gabe McGlone paced the Irish with 12 points. Ryan Duncan added 9, Tyler Flaherty 7, Ryan Gibson 5, Patrick Rooney and Jamyl Copeland 4 ea, Kevin McMahon 3, Austin Mooney 2, and Matthew Strausbaugh and Jeremie Nsumbu 1 apiece to round out the scoring.
