IRISH DOWN BISHOP WATTERSON TO MOVE TO 9-0!!!

Dublin Scioto started strong and then coasted to victory at Bishop Watterson (6-2) by the count of 58-46. The Irish jumped to a 17-9 first
quarter lead, extended the lead to 40-23 at halftime, before finishing with a 58-46 victory. It seemed as though the game was certainly not the best
effort of the season for the Irish, but it was good enough for the win over a good Bishop Watterson squad on their homecourt.
Ben Ashwill got the Irish going early scoring 16 first half points including two 3-pointers. Rainer Duzan added 8 first half points including two 3-pointers
in the 2d quarter. Others hitting the scoring column in the first half included Kyle Duncan, playing at his former school, with 5 points and one 3-pointer,
Blair Gorniak with 4, Marco St John with 3, and Bradley McDouglad and David McKinley with 2 each.
The Irish's offense was slowed down in the 2d half being held to only 18 points. Marco St. John led the 2d half scoring with 8, Ben Ashwill added 5, Kyle Duncan 3
and Bradley McDougald 2.
Leading the Irish in scoring was Ben Ashwill with 21 points, including three 3-pointers. Marco St. John added 11, while Rainer Duzan chipped in with 8 including
two 3-pointers. Kyle Duncan also had 8 points, Bradley McDougald and Blair Gorniak 4 each, and David McKinley 2. After Blair Gorniak got in early foul trouble,
Deji Olatoye subbed in and came up big with outstanding defense including back to back steals, and some big rebounds.
