The Irish freshman team notched its fourth win of the season with a 44-24 victory at Bexley on Tuesday evening.
Scioto jumped out to an 18-8 first quarter lead and was never challenged in picking up a third road win. They led 31-15 at the half and 38-17 at the end of the third quarter.
The Irish canned 12-15 free throws in the contest. Seven different players scored led by Matt Messick with 15 points.
Andrew McKinley was the only other Irish player in double figures with 10 points. Also scoring were Darius McDonald (8), Evan Ekis (5), Jack Flood (5), Brian Chu (2) and Brady Blackwell (1).
Scioto returns to OCC play with a home contest vs. Olentangy at 4:30 p.m. on Friday. The Irish are now 4-7 on the season.
