The area's top senior prep basketball players were showcased at the annual District 10 all-star games on April 3 at Bexley High School.
Boys and girls players from Division I through Division IV competed in three contests, with the marquee game featuring boys teams from the OCC and the City League.
The OCC team led 66-54 at halftime of the boys game and pulled away in the second half, leading by as many as 30 points en route to a 118-109 win.
Dublin Scioto's Raneal Ewing scored 18 points and was named the game's Most Valuable Player.
"It's always good to get a City win," Ewing said. "Now we know next year our guys coming up who will be seniors need to come in and show that the OCC is still good."
Westerville South's Ben Jones scored 18 points, followed by Upper Arlington's Wes Richter with 16. Dublin Coffman's Christian Heine and Upper Arlington's Brian Sullivan had 13 points apiece.
Gahanna's Jamel Morris scored 12 points and New Albany's Ryan Mayle contributed 10.
Worthington Kilbourne's Austin Parker (7), Coffman's Zack Riddle (7) and New Albany's Nick Sosh (4) rounded out the OCC scoring.
The OCC team hurt the City League from the perimeter, making 17 3-pointers. Heine and Richter led the way with three apiece.
"They did a nice job," said UA coach Tim Casey, who led the OCC team. "They're good kids and they were very unselfish. They shared the ball, shot it extremely well, which I thought that we would. We had a lot of guys who can make shots and, when they share it in that kind of environment, that's kind of fun."
Walnut Ridge's Austin Traylor scored a game-high 21 points to lead the City League. Teammate Dwayne Bazemore added 17 points, Whetstone's Cameron Vines scored 14 and Independence's SeVaughn Collins had 12.
Mifflin's Percy Dean (11), Walnut Ridge's Reco Spears (11), Centennial's Wesley Russell (10), Beechcroft's Martise McLaurin (6), Independence's James Young (4) and Walnut Ridge's Jed Reid (3) rounded out the scoring. Beechcroft's Demetrius Long also played.
