COLD FOURTH QUARTER LEAD TO FRESHMAN LOSS

Westerville North outscored the Irish freshman 11-0 in the fourth quarter and posted a 50-42 win in the opener.

Scioto took a 42-39 lead into the final quarter, but couldn’t find a way to make a bucket. Gabe McGlone led the Irish with 14 points. Also scoring for the Irish: Jamyl Copeland (7), Tyler Flaherty (7), Ryan Gibson (4), Ryan Duncan (3), Kris Simonton (3), Jeremie Nsumbu (2) and Matt Strausbaugh (2).
