Boys Super 7 Poll-Week 3

Top teams worth repeating

It probably was bound to happen eventually that we'd have the same Super 7 two weeks in a row, and, well, this is the week.

The Super 7 members from last week went a combined 13-0 over the last seven days, and in all but a couple exceptions, the victories were impressive. It already looks like Northland is going to run away with the City League-North Division after the way it man-handled Brookhaven on Dec. 16, and Scioto put together a defensive masterpiece Dec. 19 against an improved Westerville North.

How's this for exciting: We've swapped out Brookhaven in our teams to watch with Upper Arlington. The Bears, along with Coffman and Hilliard Davidson, are among a group of decent teams in the OCC-Central Division -- a league which could be the second strongest in the area behind the OCC-Ohio.

Looking for a good matchup to catch over the holiday break? There might not be a better one than Newark at Grove City on Tuesday. The Greyhounds have been wracking up high point totals all season and the Wildcats are the defending state champions.

The matchup Saturday between Worthington Christian and host Zanesville also should be an interesting one.
